"Lovely property, clean neat spacious and the best staff"

"Fantastic stay at hotel kamenoi with the panoramic view of the mount aso greeting us every morning and star gazing at night. My kids absolutely love the huge grass patch and the myriad of toys, sports equipment like baseball, curve ball and soccer balls to keep them occupied. The outdoor onsen is a must try. Definitely recommend this hotel to fellow travellers"

"The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "

"We had a wonderful stay. The atmosphere, food, staff, and hospitality are amazing. We loved the onsen available on site, but also managed to visit other onsen in town (you can get an onsen hopping pass from the town visitor center). Overall very tranquil and relaxing. One thing to note is that the pillows can be small and you may need to ask for larger or additional pillows. Highly recommend and would visit again. "

"Great room for the price I paid. I needed a room close to Autopolis International racetrack and this is an hour away. Service was good, the staff is friendly and it’s right next to the station. This will be my go to every time I do a trackday at Autopolis. "
