"Nice overnight stay in a traditional old ryokan. Last-minute booking ended us up in an awkwardly tiny room but the Onsen was lovely and good breakfast. Hostess was very helpful finding us a dinner spot. Handy location near the beach."

"I speak Japanese and so did not rely on internet advice and discovered many shops and food and local information. I was on business but would like to return for a holiday as it has lots to offer without the crowds. Only bad point is matsue has a taxi shortage in the morning and evenings due to cummuter rush. "
"Nice Onsen, rooms ok. Everything a bit dated. Carpets should be replaced ASAP before they come to life, gross.

"Nice, average hotel by the standards of our trip to Japan (as in the room was small by American standards but average by Japanese standards). Close to the train station, restaurants, etc. Check-in was easy, staff were helpful in holding on to our baggage since we arrived early. Pretty expansive Japanese breakfast in the morning."
"For only one night, the staff here were friendly and accommodating. They made check in’s and check out’s easy and quick. The room was in a good location next to the elevator and the walk to the train station was in short time. The view was also amazing as well, would come back here again for my stay in Matsue"
