"This is a beautiful property❣️ There is water accents everywhere! A river through the resort with motor & paddle boat for transportation to and from Xcaret. The resort is large, but can be walked. There is a shuttle as well. It was surprisingly easy to understand after a few days. The drinks were delicious. The food was plentiful!!! Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy every restaurant and they only reserve for two days at a time and we missed the first and second day. You have to do reservations in person, which could be improved with an app or phone call. The Michael Jackson entertainment was spot on and the choreography and dancers were amazing❣️ I was sad I missed the circus. I think the disco should have played more American music longer, but I’m bias. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and housekeeping came every day. There are large pools everywhere to keep cool in the humid Mexico heat. Their staff were very friendly and provided great service. One of the best parts of the resort were the animals everywhere!!! Deer that walks right next to the walkways and monkeys that swinger from the trees. Pretty Parrots and iguana we’re out and about freely roaming the resort and it was fun to see and watch. The beach access was small, but nice. The swim up bar was fun with a waterfall. The parks were close by & allowed added activities when we wanted & we were never bored. We would definitely go back❣️"

"Very beautiful place with an amazing full time staff! We were not aware upon booking the resort wasnt fully open but the rooms are exactly as pictured... STUNNING I hate my husband couldn't fully utilize the resort so that felt like a waste of money. The train/busses were not properly scheduled so unfortunately we missed our dinner reservations after waiting 30 minutes for it never to show up. Our last night we were told to walk by one driver because he didn't want to drop us at our stop. I was floored by the disrespect and moreover having to walk in pitch black to our room which took about 12 minutes."

"Alcohol isn't served until 11am. Clean room, friendly staff. Small beach area. We had the beach front walk out which was nice. However some sort of night club thud thuds until about 3am each night we were there which affected our sleep as it was quite loud"

"2nd time staying at Ocean Maya Royale. First was 2024 and most recently May 2026. Both stays exceeded my expectations. We arrived around 11am, while we were unable to check in until 3pm, we still had access to the resorts amenities such as the restaurants, bars, pool, beach etc Once we checked in- the room was clean, they accommodated our request for 2 beds and near the pool. The room was nicely decorated with roses and an animal pillow + other amenities ( we checked in via the Privilege room & received these perks ). The fridge was stocked with 4 bottled waters, 2 local canned beers, Pepsi, Orange Fanta & Diet Pepsi. There was a safe in the closet, 2 chairs + a table on the balcony. An umbrella was conveniently in the closet & plenty of storage space. The beach was filled with seaweed and the red flag was up- definitely was not able yo swim this trip to Playa Del Carmen. However - the staff made up for this with service. Everyone was excellent and helpful. The food at the buffet and the A La Carte restaurants were even better than my first visit. Except at Yakasoo- the Japanese restaurant- food was good however as I was enjoying it, so was a fly. This was the only thing that soiled that experience. Staff was notified. Activities included - a nighttime foam party at the pool, sip & paint class, facial massage class, water aerobics etc Special thanks to the lobby bar bartenders- Eduardo & crew! Pool bar bartender- Miguel and crew!the activities team! Gustavo & Lupe"

"We recently stayed at the Family Selection section of Grand Palladium Kantenah and had a great overall experience. The resort is beautiful, very tropical, and perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The Family Selection service made the trip feel more comfortable and convenient, especially with the family-friendly amenities and quieter atmosphere. The food overall was very good for an all-inclusive resort. The buffet had plenty of variety, and our favorite restaurant was definitely La Paisana — the food felt the most authentic and flavorful during the trip. The à la carte restaurants were decent, but we felt they could be a little more consistent in quality and service. One of the biggest surprises was the Bravo Show. We didn’t expect too much at first, but the performances, music, and energy were much better than expected and became one of the highlights of our stay. The pools, beach, and resort grounds were all excellent, and the staff were friendly and hardworking throughout the vacation. Overall, Family Selection provided a very enjoyable and relaxing family experience with good food, great entertainment, and a beautiful resort atmosphere. We would definitely consider coming back again."
