"The signage for finding the hotel sucked. Basically no sign...they said they are awaiting approval from the city. We drove around the block 4 times before we found it. The food in the restaurant was terrible. The eggs benedict had hollandaise sauce that was like chicken gravy...inedible."

"We had a wonderful time, in spite of rain. The cabin was very comfortable and well stocked. It was literally less than a quarter of a mile to the hiking trails. Our dogs were very comfortable as well. One caveat. If you are coming in via RT. 209, do not turn off of Pine Kill Rd onto David Rhodes ..."

Walden is small, and you are probably visiting for the Angry Orchard. My wife and I love the chance to go visit small towns and slow down a bit, and Walden provides that with good restaurants, friendly faces and plenty of outdoor space.

Be sure to visit Angry Orchard in Walden for their cider tastings and tour. New Paltz is a bit of a drive, but worth it if you're after antiques/the art scene (it has the same feel as New Hope, PA).

Not a lot to do here but lots close by. Tin Brook is nice.
