"We stayed in this ryokan for a family trip. The city is unknown to non-Japanese people, but the people at the ryokan were so kind and helpful. Sometimes it was not easy to communicate as their English was not the best, but they tried their best to help. The meals were awesome, and the bath places were great as well. We were totally satisfied and I strongly recommend this place."

"We had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. Hotel provided excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner, free welcome drink. The hot bath was wonderful with views of the river and forest. The room was beautifully decorated. We will definitely want to come back again next year!"

"This very new seeming property was excellent and I'd certainly choose it again for another stay at Besshoonsen. Room was and clean relatively spacious, the three private spas worked well (although the hotel was not full when I stayed). Meals were delicious, dinner and breakfast, and sensible quantities. If you're thinking of an overnight here a) you should come - it is a lovely old town and b) this place has your back for a bit of onsen magic while you are here."
