Lovely staff and great room. Was worried about the shared bathroom but it was extremely clean and private with separated showers and toilets that give you lots of privacy. Room was bigger than expected and the amenitie room downstairs was wonderful. Only a 20 minute walk from Asakusa and there’s a Lawson right nearby.
It was ideal location for my needs, nice quiet location but close to center of city, not to expencive. Staff was extremly helpful and friendly, very happy whit them.
The receptionist was very kind, and helpful. We were able to buy detergent at the front, and wash our clothes easily. The room was compact, and had a small desk to use if needed. They have a wall of recommended restaurants in the area which is very helpful. Overall the experience was great.
This was a great stay. The staff was super friendly and everything was so smooth. The walls are a bit thin so we were able to hear people opening and closing the doors so try to be mindful of how loud you are. As well our air conditioning unit in the room had an extremely strong smell of fish. But a part from that it was amazing. It was such a clean place and very nice amenities. I am choosing to overlook the air conditioning unit as I believe the filter just needed to be changed and because the hostel itself was really great.
The best budget way to stay in Tokyo while still having your own room and door! Some useful amenities on the first floor, clean bathrooms, warm showers with strong pressure, and friendly staff! They even graciously put our luggage in our room after we dropped them off for the day. How pleasant your stay is greatly depends on the respectfulness and quietness of others - keep this in mind if you are looking to stay here. Would definitely book again!
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights at Plat Hostel Minowa Forest. We had a wonderful time here! The staff at the hostel are very welcoming and kind. Thank you Max and Yuki for a lovely stay!
The hostel is very well located and quiet. We participated in the free walking tour of Asakusa. Laundry machines are available, although the dryer takes a few cycles. An inexpensive and yummy breakfast is also available. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, including a kettle, toaster oven, and complimentary tea. We would definitely stay here again!
It was a good experience staying in plat hostel. They offer rooms instead of just beds which is a great plus. We could pack our luggage at night without bothering others. And there's a elevator that saves a lot of trouble of carrying heavy luggage upstairs and downstairs.
On top of that, the staffs are nice and approachable (open to a conversation if you want to talk to someone). They are helpful and friendly.
The only small disadvantage might the distance to the nearest metro/ train station, like 7-10 min walk.
Overall it's a great place to stay in Tokyo. I will definite come visit here next time!
Staff were kind and friendly and spoke good English. Common areas and facilities were neat and tidy but basic. Area is very quiet. The hostel itself is generally quiet but this (like always) depends on the other guests around you. The walls are pretty thin so if you are around noisy neighbours you will need earplugs. About a 10min walk to the nearest metro station. Otherwise a generally pleasant stay in Tokyo.
We had a good experience here. Checked in rather late in the night, maybe around 10pm. The person at the reception desk was very friendly and explained all about the place. We just came in late at night and left early in the morning, so we didn't experience too many of the other things the hostel provides, but enjoyed a clean room and very clean shared bathroom and shower with necessities provided. It was very quiet inside while we slept and I didn't wake during the night to any noise.
It is a little bit of a walk from the train station to the hostel, maybe ~10m with bags, but there are elevators outside to go up and down the pedestrian overpass to get to the place, so it is very easily accessible.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet and yet has interesting stores around.
