「What a beautiful historical property. It is well-maintained and furnished in an age-appropriate style. The staff were friendly, helpful, and informative; sharing historical information about the home. We had a room up the stately stairs that looked out from tall windows onto the balcony. Our stay was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was a delight. It is always interesting to insert yourself into the ongoing story of such a place. We hope to go again.」

「The thing to remember about this place, it is cheaper than everything else. So, it is basic furniture and breakfast is weird with everyone on one table and only eggs as the cooked food, but you get what you pay for! The most annoying thing is that they email you in advance to ask when you are arriving but clearly don’t look at the response. Any issues and you are told ‘you can cancel’ in a way that implies they might cancel your reservation! To be fair, they didn’t but it was a very odd...

「Everything basic was good. In particular, the staff (front desk, parking lot, restaurant) were wonderful and made me feel very welcome and it's so confortable! We had a problem with the air conditioner in our room, so I reported it to the front desk and they fixed it right away. The room was very clean, but I would have liked a little more attention to replenishing the amenities. Maybe it's the hectic nature of a large hotel...」
