"Very nice, modern hotel close to Takayama train and bus station and the old town. The hotel is modern, rooms are reasonably compact but very nice, clean and modern. The spa is nice with great views over the city. Takayama is lovely and very pretty with some very good restaurants. Shirakawa-go well worth the 50.min trip from Takayama. Definitely recommend the Amanek hotel"

"Good location, excellent value breakfast. Whilst parking is first come first served there was lots reserved. As with most modern hotels the lifts are a bottleneck and no clearly signposted stairs as an alternative."

"I really loved the traditional Japan vibe of the hotel it was amazing. Breakfast was delicious though mostly traditional Japanese they also had eggs potatoes bread sausage so there was variety. They also have a free shuttle bus that was great and convenient definitely recommend this hotel"
