「In all caps? DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. You cannot contact the host and, at least for us, they never provided an access code. We ended up on the street with our luggage for hours while the excellent support staff at Expedia helped us sort it out and booked us another place to stay. The people who lived locally said this was not the first time it had happened either and other families had gone through the same thing. (One very nice local family invited us into their home to get us off the street;...

「Hideo and Yuka were wonderful hosts. Hideo is a great guide and very easy to talk to. The authentic Thatch home was both beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed having coffee every morning while looking out the large windows at the cherry blossum trees. Very nice location away from all the people in Kyoto. Easy 1hr bus ride into Kyoto city. They have a friendly Golden Retriever and a French Bulldog to play with if you like dogs! The Fishmarket excursion was fun and unique with Hideo helping select...
