That's probably due to the odours that come from the water treatment plant next to it before it's off-shored into the Pacific ocean. We were able to go around on the rocks and experience the waves crashing in. It was pretty rocky and it felt like we were jumping around on moon/crater/lava fields.

We had a great 4 night stay in this lovely apartment. Dom was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The location was superb for our visit with local shops, cafes and beach a short stroll away. We hope to stay again on our next trip to Malabar whenever that may be!

Arrived easy directions Dom and his wife couldn’t have been more helpful, the view from the bedroom and balcony was beautiful this morning! The accommodation was as described - many extraordinary items for guests 100/100 for this accommodation highly recommended family friendly lovely hosts xx Parking was easy at the door no parking fee!! Rare for Sydney stays the beech was a beautiful walk with a club and cafe close by (a hop and a skip) you can enjoy a meal at the club or cook your own plenty of appliances to make anything…. Bbq down stairs, quiet location thank you Dom!!

Best hospitality we've had!

We stayed 2 nights here with our family of 5 and the experience was incredible! The owner Dom was so supportive after we landed in Sydney after a 17 hour flight. He will go above and beyond to make sure you are as comfortable as possible! The location is next level, short stroll to an amazing beach and playground for the kids. Food, drinks and importantly coffee are all within a 5 min walk lined with awesome coastal views. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Ps The craft ginger beer is top shelf 😀

Beautiful and Private Lodging Near Sydney

This property was all-around wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the outside dining balcony had a lovely view of the ocean, the double shower was convenient, and everything was absolutely spotless. There were also several food options and a grocery store within walking distance. An overall quiet and peaceful location so close to Sydney was a real find. Add to all this a beach and several excellent walking paths with scenic views along the water, and you couldn’t hope for a more pleasant setting for a business/vacation trip. Further, the host (Dom) was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, and very easy to communicate with. He even had fresh bread from the local bakery in the well-stocked fridge (as well as assorted snacks) waiting for us when we arrived. We are looking forward to staying here again on future trips to Sydney.
