We checked in using their key box with a pass code around 4pm. They told us room 301 but, when we opened the key box, it showed room 106. So we called reception immediately but no one answered the call. We left a message and moved in to room 106. Not only did they not return our call, but they entered our room without any notice or consent, stating that they had to do a building inspection for leasing out the room permanently. Our stay was seriously interrupted. We want our money back. Very disappointing.
The 24x7 unmanned reception is causing a lot of trouble. For example, we couldn't park our baggage when we arrived early. And nobody answered the phone when we requested for a timely check-in at 2pm.
The foyer and common area both reeked of rotting garbage that was piling up on both floor 1 and 2. On floor two this was in the kitchen - making the thought of cooking anything in there stomach churning. There was a very noisy fan in my room that I could not fine any on/off switch for kept me awake and occasionally wafted the smell of the garbage into my room. My room key card had a different room number written on each side (that I didn't notice at first) and it worked for both rooms leading me to accidentally walk in on some other unfortunate guest. Clearly this was not isolated as someone else walked into my room just after I had gotten out of the shower and undressed. A table lamp on the kitchen bench (presumably there because no-one had bothered to fix the room lights) had its plug repaired with normal duct tape - a potentially lethal neglect of safety. The carpet in my room was stained, filthy and there was a large brown smear at eye level on the wall. Perhaps chocolate, perhaps something else but I wasnt game to smell it. The bed was clean and comfortable, the towels and bathroom were clean and the location excellent.

I was misled on the parking. I understood it would be about $40 for an overnight. Instead it cost me $230 just for the parking.
Not happy.

Couldn’t use toilet because you got rained on
Offered a discount at the counter next morning after reporting it
But have received none or any more correspondence
Never going back
We paid a high price for this night, because it was NYE. The hotel entrance from the street is just a door with steep stairs. There is no elevator. Our room was very simple with glass shower doors around the toilet, so no privacy at all. We had 2 beds, but only one blanket. We had a coffee pot with a short cord and elevated oulets, except behind the beds. There was a safe available, however you needed a key, which required a $50 deposit. We came back at 1 a.m. and as we got into bed, a party started next door. The walls were paper thin and we were kept awake most of the night! Reception closed at 5 p.m., so there was only a phone number to call for problems. When i picked up the hotel phone to call, i realized it wasn't connected! Overall, it was a bad experience. Check out time was 10 a.m. and although we were exhausted, we couldn't wait to leave!!
The carpet was so dirty and worn out.
My room was right next to reception (as in 3 metres away), I heard every conversation. Also, because there is no elevator, I was constantly woken up by people and their luggage going up and down the stairs. The worst night’s sleep in years.
There was only a couple of things that were disappointing and that was there was no lift and the queen bed was two beds pushed together. Everything else was excellent. The shower pressure was absolutely amazing 👍👍
Conveniently located and clean. However, make sure your heart is strong as there are lots of stairs.

Great location close to transport and shops. Unfortunately there was no lift or windows in my room. The carpets were very stained and covered in cheap throw rugs.
The paint work was so bad, clearly no drop sheet had been used and it was all along the carpet. The window is too high and pointless. There is no lift and I was on the 4th floor and NO one offered help. The room is tiny and there was a vinyl chair (useless) which looked 70 years old and was filthy. An alarm went off across the road at 10:pm and did not go off until 4:am - so sleeping was almost impossible. Expensive for this tiny, unfinished not so clean room.

Good location but air conditioner didn’t work.....
There were a number of safety issues with the room which the staff made excuses for and wouldnt fix. Cracked window glass and no front door lock is just a few of the issues.

Clean bu t disappointing.
The security latch on door on the inside of the room did not work. The containers of long life milk had frozen and curdled in the coffee. The shape of the room meant the bed was positioned awkwardly and was a squeeze to move around. Positives clean and basic.

Location is great, staff were friendly, comfy room
The room served the purpose for what we were doing.
We just wanted a place to stay the night. It was ideally located a few minutes walk from the train station and a few more to the seminar we were attending.
There was no elevator option, so we needed to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs.
There was a small window for natural ventilation, but this allowed the inner city noise in and it opened onto a small balcony and we had to shut it when someone used it to smoke a cigarette.
The toilet had an unusual flushing action that wasn't consistently successful in doing the job.
The shower was a good size with a mixer tap and there was ample hot water, just need to adjust the tap several time's, due the the fluctuating rate of flow going hot and cold.
It was clean and tidy, there was a long crack along the wall that seemed to be in several stages of repair.
It served the purpose and we rested well.
Thanks
