「The ‘old bask’ (with its spacious studios on the upper floors with the seaside view) was always a lovely place to stay, with its close proximity to piers, docks & restaurants. The now completed additions are an upgrade but now it also includes the new restaurant “mar” with a Top Chef associate running the kitchen (one had to try the grilled octopus sitting on a plantain!) This puts Morehead City into a whole new experience level, justifying the long trip」

「Very nice facility. The staff was exceptional! Nice breakfast. Gravy and biscuits would have made it better. Lunch and dinner menu was limited but food was very good. Views are limited for some rooms. Did I mention, the staff was amazing!」

「This was our third stay at this property, and the first under the new name (it was formerly the Pine Knolls Shore Inn). I didn’t see anything really different except for the parking fee of $20 per day. The balcony was very small, and the bathroom faucet looked as if an amateur had replaced it with a whole tube of caulk. But, because I waited too late to book reservations, they were the only facility that offered an ocean view.」

「My wife and I recently visited the Inlet Inn. The waterfront location is perfect, within very short walking distance to ferry boat rides, nice restaurants, shopping and historic homes and churches. The staff at the Inlet Inn was extremely friendly and helpful; check-in/out was a breeze. Our rooms (due to our late booking we had to change rooms) spectacular! Both rooms were very spacious. The first had a large balcony overlooking the water. The second had a large bay window overlooking the water...

「With the Big Rock fishing tournament ongoing this was an emergency booking (as my favorite Bask Hotel was sold out). $355 was way too pricey for the neighborhood, staff appearance and “overflow warehouse” worn furniture, the hard to operate tv (a little channel guide wouldn’t come amiss) and the worn shower hose. The breakfast (with the exception of the egg-omelette) was not edible; the lack of healthy, non-processed food was stunning. But needed a bed and a shower … this place needs a major...

「Property and inside the room was very clean. Room was very big and room. Kitchen has all u need to make a nice meal. Shower has shampoo/ conditioner and body soap. I liked how it was just a short walk to the beach. I e had a lovely time at this place!」

「Gentleman at the desk was polite and friendly. The common areas, elevator, front lounge area, all spelled of marijuana smoke and dirty mop bucket water. Room was clean except for the mold growing in the shower that should have been easily cleaned. My wife borrowed bathroom spray from the front desk and cleaned it properly. Over all, this could be a nicer place for people to stay, but the upkeep leave something to be desired. Proximity to the beach was very convenient.」

If the host could improve the cleanliness of the kitchen, freshen up the house, and ensure blankets are available, it would make the stay much more comfortable.」
