Top St Ignace Hotel Reviews
Aurora Borealis Motel
10/10 Excellent
"The facility was very clean and well maintained. The front desk associate was very nice and friendly. The cost was very reasonable. You can pay more at the big name guys but I enjoyed staying with the local hospitality. Also there was plenty of dining options and the area was great for a morning or evening walk."

"You can tell this property is older and has been well loved by generations. We were put on the first floor and it smelled extremely moldy and my son had a hard time, but we were only there for one night and didn’t wanna cause problems. When we went to the other floors, they didn’t smell as moldy and felt a little cleaner if we had to stay there longer, we would have requested to be moved even though it was super nice being able to walk right on to the beach area, I would’ve rather gone down the stairs and not smell the mold so heavily. You can tell they try very hard to maintain this property and the employees were fantastic. The pool area was fantastic. You can tell it’s a little worn, but that’s just because so many people come there and obviously have a great time. It was gorgeous being able to watch the sunrise from my lake front window. We found that they have bigger rooms for larger families and may try that when we have the rest of our family with us. Breakfast was good. The property wasn’t very crowded but the breakfast room was extremely crowded so I think that was a little bit of a hardship because you went up there and really couldn’t get what you needed unless you waited for a while. Overall, we would definitely stay here again just request a different floor!!"
