Breakers Resort & Beach Bar

Breakers Resort & Beach Bar

10/10 Excellent
"Up with family for the annual Labor Day Bridge walk and had an excellent time. Our stay at the Breakers was all we could ask for and would return again. Every staff member we encountered was quick to help and pleasant to work with. We had 1 meal at the restaurant which was very good and the bar was also excellent for a cocktail at the end of the evening. Breakfast in the AM was above average in my opinion and they even opened early on Labor Day for us doing the bridge walk. The Breakers also offered a round trip shuttle ($20 well worth it) to the bridge for the walk and I would highly recommend. They were very organized and timely. The property is older but very well kept up. Only minor issue and not a problem with me was I couldn't take our luggage cart to our room due to steps. The end rooms have a 1/2 flight of stairs to access. Will be back in the future"

Quality Inn Lakefront

Quality Inn Lakefront

8/10 Good
"We came for the Labor Day Bridge Walk. Unlike other motels in the area, the front staff told us the free breakfast would not start before 6am yet the bridge closes at 6:30am. This one day only, we wish they would make an exception and start the breakfast at 5:00 or 5:30 to accommodate their sold-out guests for the Bridge walk. We will not be back for that reason. However, the rooms were better and cleaner than 2 other nearby motels. We wish they had better beach access, as the coastline along the property front is lined with large boulders that cannot be walked on. No sandy beach at all. Great location, close to everything, comfortable beds. Just depends on your priorities."
