We stayed here for 5 nights and this house was perfect for our needs. We have a new walker and a toddler and most of the house was worry-free (thick carpet, rounded edges on furniture, fabric couch protectors). Our 45" baby gate fit perfectly at the bottom of the stairs. Just a note for new walkers - the hearth does have sharp edges of rock, which was a bit of a danger zone. Also, for toddlers who like to explore - it seems that there's no way to lock the front door from the inside to prevent toddler escape, and the door opens very easily. The house was very clean, and the large main living area was a perfect place to relax, for the kids to play, and to cook and eat.
A few qualms (though I still give it 5 stars). The hot water ran out quickly (didn't even fill a tub), and the water pressure was non-existent if two people were trying to shower at the same time. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of cooking basics like olive oil, sugar, and spices. While not a necessity, it's nice when renting a home if some of these basics are stocked so you don't need to bring/buy them. There was salt and pepper and a spice rack, but many of the jars were empty. Also, the sliding door in the hall bath seemed to be off its slide or broken, and the sliding door to the outside deck needed oil. We cleaned and oiled the slides which improved it somewhat. There were also no extra linens supplied, so there was an extra pillow in the cabinet of the master, which I wanted to use, but no pillowcase available to put on it. The temperature was pretty mild while we were there so we didn't try to adjust the HVAC. It did get a little stuffy upstairs on the hotter day. Re: the TV - in the description it said there was cable, though that is no longer the case. We called Vacasa to see if we were doing something wrong and they said that the local cable has been out all winter and the homeowners cancelled the subscription. We happened to have a laptop and there was an HDMI cable, so we were able to log into our Sling account to watch the NBA Finals and the Women's World Cup. I would recommend bringing a fire stick or laptop plus HDMI cable if you know you want to watch something.
About the location - it is amazing. We are pretty familiar with the area and were able to easily access all our favorite spots. And, just up the block from the house is the entrance to a great network of trails, including an awesome swing hanging from a tree. We hope to return soon!
