"Before we booked this Hotel, we saw many positive reviews. However our stay was disappointing. We landed in Porto early in the morning, so we used the luggage lockers. The cost is €2.50 per hour, and given that check in is late (4PM), we ended up paying around €20. When we asked for an early check-in, and the agent over the email told us that the room was available, we followed the instructions however the room was not opening. We reached out via the messages, and ended up receiving the same copy and paste message over and over. We were instructed to input the number correctly, which we were doing. In fact, at 4PM we used the same code and it finally worked. We understood that other residents were struggling with a similar issue as a day later we spoke to a couple who told us that they cannot get into the room. Having someone at the hotel would be really helpful. The room was spacious, but there were a lot of plaster marks on the wall, as per the attached images. The headboard had scratches marks on it as well. Towels were not changed either. We learned that you would have to book it and pay extra as well. The plus side of this hotel is that the location is close to touristic attractions. However, unfortunately, it was a frustrating experience on the whole. This is because the Hotel may seem budget friendly at first, but would be more expensive with add ons. You would might as well go for a 4 start Hotel and get better facilities and service."

"Clean facility, convenient bar/cafe, nice rooms with good restrooms. Highlight was the front desk staff, especially Mateus, who pointed out many local destinations and places of interest for us. Lucas, also at the desk, provided great service, along with all of the servers at the cafe."

"Beautiful hotel. Staff very welcoming and always on hand. Breakfast very good huge selection fresh good quality food and constantly replenished. Rooms spotless and housekeeping come in twice a day ensuring you do not run out of anything. Outdoor pool and spa very relaxing and clean with staff in attendance if needed. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel."

"Our stay at Art Hotel in Porto was excellent. Convenient and reasonably priced for the location. The rooms were a good size and comfortable. For those considering staying here, it’s a short 10 minute walk to the Dom Luis bridge and everything at the waterfront. As a bonus, there is fantastic gelato right next door - with a great outdoor terrace at the back. And the original Gazela cachorrinho (fantastic Portuguese hotdogs) is also just down the street…a must have."
