The staff a the Holiday Inn (Gaia Residence) were helpful and communicative during the check in process. The room is spacious. It had a full size fridge and electric cooktop, microwave and sink. The room and all of the spaces were clean. The room is older but bit worn and so that made it great value. The breakfast is not included however that can be be paid for at the host station with a credit card. Parking is free with some of the limited spaces out front but they do have elevator access on-premise below ground parking for a fee. The room would be great for a family, with the flexibility of some cooking capabilities with the amenities of a standard hotel. It's a short taxi or rideshare to the river which would make a trip to Porto a little more budget friendly.

The room was big, hotel and room were clean. The hotel restaurant is expensive, but staff are very polite, very helpful and super kind. Room cleaners were very good, I left tips on the table and they never took it, I wonder if it's a hotel policy. Breakfast was one of a kind. I encourage people to prepay your breakfast with the room, at the hotel price per person was 20€.

The staff and breakfast were great! The beddings were organised every day. Once you know and understand the public transports, it's quite a convenient location. Thought we had free use of the swimming pool but had to pay 12 euros per-person per-day to use.

Gaia Residence was very accommodating, the staff was friendly, the hotel was lively and very clean. I stayed in an apartment first for 3 nights and then for 8 nights and it felt like home. The food from Friends Kitchen was very delicious. I will recommend to friends. And I would definitely stay there again.

Extremely comfortable rooms, especially when you book the apartment. very nice staff in the hotel, very good pricing for the garage (10 €/day). We liked it very much. The distance to the city of Porto is walkable, just 20min by feet down the hill. we didn't take breakfast (we are not the breakfast people) but it looked fantastic and we were allowed the take the first coffee. Lovely service!!

The location is average and the service is acceptable. Although the room is quite spacious, the soundproofing is very poor—you can easily hear normal conversations from the neighboring room. Fortunately, I booked a unit with a large living room, so I was able to sleep there the next night.

The room was clean and comfortable but the experience is just another faceless hotel. They are part of Holiday Inn and we're too busy. They didn't give us the right room and failed to read the response to the email they sent us. They also forgot to mention the parking is paid.
