Museum of Port Wine

Loved this apartment! Large apartment with character but with modern updates, high ceilings, balcony overlooking street. In an ideal location and everything within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Great small boutique hotel with plenty of friendly staff. The room was gorgeous and huge with a bathtub view on the Douro. A little bit of road noise but nothing earplugs don’t fix. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Adding a full size mirror would be good for checking a fit before leaving the room. Service was above and beyond, with a tour of the property, welcome drink, bags taken to the room and a turndown service. Ines at breakfast was very friendly. The breakfast is good although the concept of a tasting menu for breakfast is a little odd and ordering à la carte would be better in our opinion. This is the second Torel property we stayed in and will continue to seek it as a gauge of quality in Portugal.

The friendliest welcome we have experienced anywhere in the world! The hotel was fabulous, great location, superb facilities, excellent restaurant and superb breakfast. The staff were all absolutely outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, and would happily go back.
