The location is ideal as it is directly across the street from the ferry. The shopping street and the famous Itsukushima Shrine is just a short walk away. I stayed in a room that had the bed in an upstairs loft. Things to consider if you book this room are the stairs are pretty steep and it’s not a small flight of stairs. The service at this hotel was beyond excellent. They did a great job of accommodating our dietary needs even though we did not think to write ahead (if you have restrictions you should). During check out, we forgot to pack our daughters journal, they called the driver that took us to the ferry and sent an extra shuttle to the ferry terminal to deliver it a few minutes later. The baths are large, fantastic and not particularly busy when we used them.

Our first trip to Hiroshima, so obviously our first trip to this hotel. Great location, easy to walk to streetcar stops, convenience stores, Peace Center, restaurants. The Granvia South Gate is a great location and hotel in Hiroshima where we would definitely stay again! Next time we would probably get a larger room, as the premium room is a bit on the small side. This place is a total gem. They only have 11 rooms so the staff really gets to know everyone. Amazing staff. The rooms were so cute and comfortable. There's a fun little place to eat Okonomi a minute away, but not much else in this quiet neighborhood. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but you can get a breakfast basket in the morning. Hiroshima Station is an easy 15 minute walk away. Delightful stay.
