It was a lovely room in the old town. The only downside was the stairs (i.e. no lift to the first floor), but our host was excellent and helped us carry our heavy bags up to the apartment.The facilities were everything that we required for our short stay; there was a Moka for making coffee (we had decaf coffee in the evening using this) as well as a Nescafé coffee machine to make espresso. The kitchen facilities were good, and we managed to cook without any problems. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well, especially after walking down to the port for our day trip to Amalfi and Positano. There were no problems with noise on the street, as other reviewers had reported, but we were given a rude awakening when the dustbin collectors arrived at 04:30 to collect the bins, and then again at 06:30 when they came again to collect the bottles! It was a surprise we hadn't expected :-)Overall, a good experience.
