"The view alone would be reason enough to stay at this wonderful property, but we also adored the beautiful house, charming village, excellent hiking within a reasonable drive (rivière du chene, rivière gentilly, and the national Parc mauricie), and of course the hot tub. "Overall, my household of five loved our stay at La Bonita. The place was clean and had plenty of light coming in through the many windows, gorgeous in the winter and I’m sure in other seasons too! The beds were comfortable, all kitchen appliances and the dryer worked well. We loved the communal hot tub, though were disappointed that the electric sauna didn’t get hot enough to melt the ice on the floor, and the wood fired was a non-starter because we were expected to heat it ourselves for a half hour reservation slot. Some things were missing: basic spices (no salt!), hand soap in one of the bathrooms, trash bags beyond the one in the bucket, sufficient dishwasher detergent. Aside from that, a fabulous getaway. "
