"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"Hotels in Rio can be expensive (by Brazilian standards) and hit or miss. We were very pleased with our stay at the Promenade Palladium. The location is perfect: a short walk to Leblon beach, an even shorter walk to a plethora of restaurants, cafes, shops, pharmacies, and anything else you might need. It is also just a few blocks from a metro station which is a great (and safe) option for getting around the city. Our room was on the second floor facing the street, which is quiet (by Rio standards) and has thick glass sliding door opening to a spacious balcony with a small table and chair. The room itself was huge, with a kitchen dining area (sink, microwave, counter, table and chairs), a sofa facing a large television , a very comfortable King-size bed, and a bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast selections are excellent and there is a very generous daily evening food offering from 5-7pm. I swim for exercise and this is one of the few hotels in which I have stayed that has an excellent lap pool that is about 20 yards long. Friends tell me that this was formerly a kind of aparthotel now converted to a hotel. All of the staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Highly recommended and worth the price."
"Nicole was absolutely amazing. Her customer service truly made my stay warm, attentive, and always willing to help. I stayed in a private junior room, and I’ll be honest: it was the tiniest room I’ve ever seen. Definitely not enough space for two people, so if you want comfort or space, this isn’t the spot for that. Also, the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor, and my room was on the 6th thankfully Nicole helped me carry my bags upstairs, which I appreciated more than they know. What really stands out here are the activities. They were amazing super social, well organized, and they keep you engaged the whole time. You literally don’t get time to be bored. If you enjoy meeting people, this place is perfect.
My breakfast was included, and it was okay nothing special but good enough to start the day.
Despite the tiny room, the hostel vibe, the location, and especially the staff + activities made my stay great value for the price. You’re paying for the area and the experience, not a luxury room."
