"This hostel's reception closes around 5 p.m., but I didn't notice the email explaining how to check in after hours, which made things quite difficult. Fortunately, someone happened to be at reception and helped me, so I was able to check in without any issues. Still, it made me feel like in this digital age, people without electronic devices might have a hard time staying here. HAKA was quite large in scale, with a spacious kitchen, dining area, and lounge located in a separate building. The rooms, toilets, and showers were well-equipped and clean. I stayed for two nights. Rotorua has wonderful hot springs, so I visited one on my second day. It’s a lovely town and the hostel was a pleasant place to stay."
