「The room was clean and tidy, shower was hot and powerful, there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate and plenty of coat hangers. I will defintely be staying gere aagaim 」

「The room was clean and tidy but the plug socket for the kettle and t.v. was loose and not properly attached to the wall. Also, the two bedside wall lights didn't work at all and one was hanging from the wall showing the wire.」

「The room looked better than the photos online. It was spotless and everything was just right - the linens, the carpet, the water temperature in the shower. Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

「Just spent 4 nights at the Brown Horse Inn. The staff were great. Food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent particularly the roast on Sunday. Great choice for breakfast. The Inn is very well placed to explore the South Lakes. Would happily recommend.」

「We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10」

「Nice place」

「We had a comfortable stay, food ok but nothing special, found the hour slot for breakfast 8.30-9.30am odd, most hotels have better times, especially when you are on holiday you don't want to be looking at your watch all the time, breakfast was buffet cereal, toast, yoghurt and juices, with a cooked breakfast to order, unfortunately a couple of mornings had to ask for bread, bowls, juice as not kept stocked up, only one member of staff serving breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful, bar was busy...

「A stunning facility in a rural property in belies the quality of this place. Check in was painless, efficient and helpful with clear directions to our room, once there WOW. Walked into a very large room with more space one would expect in a 5 star establishment. Big comfortable bed, really good bathroom and kitchen to boot. If we were going to stay in the area this would be the place to choose. Had dinner there and service was lovely, food plentiful and tasty and a pre dinner drink in the bar...

「Stayed three nights with my wife. Being very close to Wasdale, 40min drive, it is convenient for climbing Mt. Scafell Pike. Room is spacious with a splendid view. One down point is that the pub on the ground floor is sometimes, on Friday evening in particular, noisy. 」
