The apartment is located above a bar, they have loud music (the whole apartment vibrates) on Fridays and Saturdays, the place looks very unsafe at night, outside they have tables with bar service, but they smoke cigarettes and marijuana, the people in the bar are not aggressive or mess with you, but it feels unsafe. The entrance to the building is shared with the bar and then you have to climb some narrow wooden stairs, there is a keypad door, but it looks like it has been broken into before and it is difficult to closet, it doesn't match properly. In the hallway from the kitchen to the living room there is a water leak in the wall, all our bags got wet and we had to clean several times with a mop that is in the kitchen, the mattress is on a base with small boards and the edge of the mattress has like wire or something similar, there is no closet, no drawers available for clothes, we left everything in the suitcases. It is clean and the bathroom has everything you need (soap, towels, paper, etc), the kitchen has fridge, dishes and cutlery, we did not use the stove or microwave. The parking lot is right in the back and there is no lighting, the first night was scary. Honestly the worst stay we have had in the US.

I didn’t know how to get into the place until I called the owner myself. The place is pretty run down and smelly. The entire building has a stench. The place is small and very old. You hear everything from the bar downstairs. I cannot say I liked anything about this place.

The worst place ever

Communicated with the owner through VRBO before coming. Found out the apartment was over a Bar that has Bands until 2am. T^hat wasn't mentioned in the details. The key to the steel door was left under a mat that once moved, sent the key to a crevice I had to dig out. The apartment that was rented us was that, an apartment that one had to reach by climbing a narrow staircase. Barely enough room to carry suitcases. the apartment had a touchpad that once the code was punched in, you had to jiggle the doorknob for the lock to unlock. There was a deadbolt inside but took a lot of jiggling to lock properly. There was one AC unit in the living room and a ceiling fan that can only be turned on and off (including the light) by a pull cord. In fact, all the lights in the place can only be turned on by a pull cord. The bathroom light, the kitchen light, the living room light and the bedroom light. There was one closet in the bedroom which was locked so we had to hang our clothes on the shower curtain rod in the bathroom. Our first night there, we go to bed and the bed falls through to the floor, So, we slept with the bed on the floor during our stay. The neighborhood was a little sketchy with a bar downstairs and all. The occupants in the other apartments, although they weren't a bother, did smoke cigarettes and marijuana. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here in the future.
