"Easy check-in, decent size parking bay. Lovely room, soft drinks and chocolate in the fridge was a nice touch. Great shower in en-suite. Breakfast was great, the chap was polite and amusing. If I’m up that way again, I’d certainly use this place again. I would definitely recommend."
"We stayed at Grand Villa Heights Hotel in a Bay View room while attending a wedding, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Our room was lovely, with a beautiful view that made our stay even more special. The hotel itself is set in a stunning location, with breathtaking views overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay. The venue and grounds are absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for the wedding.
The wedding was fantastic from beginning to end, and everything was so well organised. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast the following morning was delicious and the perfect start before our long journey home.
We would definitely recommend Grand Villa Heights Hotel and would happily stay there again in the future."
"The staff were excellent; kind and polite!
The room was small but clean. The furniture looked tired and the bed was smaller than expected.
The cooked breakfast was good but the buffet was not 4 stars! No nuts, seeds or fresh berries! The yogurt was poor quality as used to Greek yogurt! Orange juice from concentrate; gave it a miss!
Evening meals lacked imagination and not brilliant!"
"Although very basic; bed, kettle and beverage makings, shower/toilet, TV and WiFi the room was spotless and a nice touch was a pack of Pringles to stave off hunger. We had a problem finding the place as we drove past the entrance, which was signed as Long Lease Farm and we were looking for a sign saying Dale View Cottage. However the proprietor was extremely helpful and responded to our SOS call promptly ensuring a trouble free entry to the property. Location was slap bang in the middle of Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay with pub which served good food a short walk (10/15 mins) away. Very pet friendly with plenty of walkies area. Thoroughly enjoyable."
"Definitely a piece of history, very unique place to stay, but you need to be able to do lots of stairs! The key box to get it is difficult to manage. "
"Had a lovely stay here. Home from home feel about it. Clean, cosy and the hosts were just so lovely, they go above n beyond. Fabulous location with a couple of pubs walkable that do meals. The beach not too far to walk but its hilly coming back but plenty of walkers do it.
Breakfast was lovely. Room was lovely. Location was lovely and the hosts were just fabulous. Would i stay again...for sure. Thank you Angela & Neil for having us at your glorious B&B. Love the history of it xx"
"We really enjoyed out stay and the proximity to Robin Hoods Bay was ideal but also to other resorts along the coast. The cottage was warm and cosy, had everything we needed and we found a parking space just up from the property which made it accessible. Highly recommend."
