「The hotel’s public rooms maintain a faded charm of times long gone, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are modern, well equipped and functional. The setting overlooking the coast could not be bettered - and enjoying it whilst tucking into an excellent buffet breakfast was great. We will definitely return.」

「A clean quiet hotel in a good location about 15 minutes walk along the promenade from the centre of Swanage. Staff are very helpful. Serves breakfast and dinner and has a spa in the basement and pleasant beer garden right above the beach. The parking is very limited and the only other downside is that the bed is one of the least comfortable (/older?) that I have slept in.」

「It’s a really really dated hotel, the rooms need a total makeover and that’s no exaggeration. However, the pool was lovely and parking was ok, but pretty busy when I came back about 9.30 pm. Location is good convenience shops really close by and restaurants and you can easily walk to the town centre. Be prepared the walls are thin and both times I’ve stayed here it’s noisy. Rooms reasonably clean so overall ok if you don’t mind a 2 star hotel.」
