We had a room where the bathroom had a very strange chemical sticky smell. It was a busy time at the report, but the staff was great and helped to get us a new room. "This place is magical. It’s very basic so if you’re looking for fancy, it’s not it. But - the views !! We saw dolphins, eagle spotted manta Rey’s, devil manta rays jumping in the ocean. We saw all kinds of fish including angel fish just snorkeling right on that beach. The staff are amazing, the room is comfortable, the food is good. The view though - for the amount you pay, it’s a steal ! We will be back. "

"We had an amazing stay at Costa Sur! The views from our balcony were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are nice and the air conditioning works great which is super important in Puerto Vallarta. There are deals at the bar area for those who like alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is by order only no buffet. The kitchenette area is small but everything worked well. I do recommend taking swim shoes for the beach area there are a ton of small rocks. It’s not possible to play in the beach area without them. The private beach is also pretty small. Overall we had a wonderful stay. "
