"This is the best hotel that we have stayed in and around Exeter. We come quite often because our daughter is at university. The only downside is it doesn’t have a pool but fortunately I had a day pass to David Lloyd which is next door which has a swimming pool. The restaurant is situated on the eighth floor and has great views. You can see Exmouth"

"A 300+yr old building which had some really quirky areas that added not subtracted from the overall ambience. Well located to town centre and beach. Staff numbers had been reduced due to a recent tragedy but credit to those remaining - especially the front of house/ receptionist & cook who worked like a trojan (1 man). "

"Had a lovely stay at Woodbury for 2 nights between Christmas and new year. Room was a good size, breakfast was really delicious! Even went for a lovely walk near Woodbury castle on one of the days. "

"A perfect hotel, as a base to explore the local area, or if on route to Cornwall. Certainly value for money, and would use again if I needed to. Though there are very little facilities in the local area (Walking Distance) for families, but ideal for somewhere to sleep after days out."
