I reached out to ask questions about my upcoming stay and the property owner was condescending and insulting to me. She told me I should have asked before I booked and stated the information was on the booking, but it was not. She told me I needed to have better communication skills. Then, she cancelled my booking the night before my trip. When I reached out to Hotels.com, I waited on hold 45 minutes. The lady told me I would have to pay more. When I disagreed, she hung up on me. Then, I called back and asked for a manager. They said one would call me in 1-2 hours. No one called me back until the next day, and they called at 11:45 pm in the middle of the night on my vacation, while I was sleeping for two consecutive nights. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a business of any kind. I was beside myself at how badly they treated me. There is no value added for using Hotels.com. They allow their property owners to cancel at the last minute and do not take care of their customers when something catastrophic happens. They do not make an effort to ensure customers are not abused or mistreated, and they do not care when this is reported. They do not care about the customer experience at all.

Was disappointed this time. Christmas lights still up outside, broken lampposts, someone cooking smelly food both days- made whole house smell, internet wouldn’t work with the Roku half the time- had to keep signing it in, key fob did not work at all, was dusty in our room.

First issue. the address as advertised on expedia.ca is incorrect and pictures are, in large part, of a different dwelling and different location. Thus, it was not possible to accurately evaluate it or neighbourhood. I wasn’t informed of correct dwelling and address until check-in time at which point I was already billed. I strongly suggest separate listings. Dweling, though comfortable, is not comparable in quality, furnishings to that promoted. Comfortable, quiet, close to amenities. No wheelchair access. Fire alarms absent or not working Windows need major cleaning. Windows cannot be secured, allowing break-ins in a place that people know are short-term rentals of tourists. Shower was fine for me, but would be too small for many large people. Virtually no nice “little things”. There was one serving of coffee, no salt and pepper, etc. Cookware, utensils adequate. Internet access fine.

This is a very neat old house that has been converted to apartments. It is very clean. It is noisy, but only because it is an old house with other tenants nearby. However, I would caution booking through Expedia or a 3rd party without speaking to the owner directly ahead of time. I booked a comfort duplex because it had a king bed, but upon arrival I was given a traditional apartment. When I reached out to the owner, I was told that she was not told of me wanting a particular bed size. My assumption is that because the rooms are the same price, I was given the other room because I was a single traveler. However, I had specifically wanted the king bed and larger shower of the comfort duplex and ended up with a small bed and tiny shower. I would just caution that if you book a particular room type, you may not get that type if other rooms of the same price are available. Confirming your room type directly with the owner ahead of booking would be advised or you may not get what you wanted and paid for!

Home away from home.

Everything was great, comfortable and clean. I would recommend and have already to my family and friends. I wish there was a little more outside sitting garden type area for visiting and relaxing.

Wonderful experience!

We had a great experience in this beautiful home. Michelle’s instructions were clear and helpful. This location was perfect, very quiet and close to the wedding venue we attended. Parking is easily available and on-site. This historical home is gorgeous and decorated with care to tell its story, help guests imagine its past yet also offers every comfort of the present. We hope to return again someday. This is definitely a new favorite for us!
