It is a 2 minute walk up beach, this beach is quite rustic and a few more minutes to walk to more sandy beach.
My only con was the outdoor grounds could have used a power wash and the pool sitting area was dirty and slimy. "
"This is a beautiful property with about six restaurants in it. We very much enjoyed our stay at Santarena. A few drawbacks were that since the hotel is kind of secluded, we did not have many options for shopping, and the restaurants were quite over priced. "

"Our family had a great time at this resort. Not as plush as some but still very nice. Great drinks, friendly pool bartenders, excellent lunch service from a sweet girl near the pool, great service from Randall and the nice lady bartender and dessert preparer in the Italian. Food was decent all around. We were very happy with our visit. "

Special thanks to one of many friendly and great waiters we had, “Jeancarlo” he is very professional, helpful and caring. One night we just mentioned to him about next day being our 30th wedding anniversary. Him and the hotel went above and beyond, they surprised us we a beautiful arrangement in our room and a special night dinner with a delicious cóctel and a beautiful sign congratulating us for our anniversary. Thank you to the hotel, the chefs and all the stuff again for the great time we had during our trip! "
"Is a very nice resort, the buffet food had a good variety. They had fruit out at every meal. The staff was very helpful. We went to italian restaurant for one dinner, the food was excellent. The service was excellent there too. The check in and out was quick. Remember to drink water, it is very warm outside, especially when you are in sun. The beach was beautiful but it has a lot of large rocks. I am not a beach person but ocean views were spectacular. "
