「The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. 」

「Beautiful hotel overlooking the mountains. The Sunset Terrace is the perfect spot to watch the sunset while having a drink or dinner. Two large stone fireplaces in the main lobby add to the ambiance. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are several restaurants to choose from, including an ice cream shop and gift shops. In my opinion the only place to stay in Asheville」

「This place could become a gem if owners would put money into up keep. It is kind of sad. That external maintenance has been neglected. If they just hired a landscape company to take care of and enhance the grounds(not just mow) would go a long way」
