"The hotel is at a fantastic location and we really enjoyed our oceanview room with the extra large balcony. All the hotel staff were especially friendly and helpful. The bed was altogether comfortable, but while the pillows and linens were soft, the mattress was showing signs of age with some stiff springs and stains around the sides. There were other signs of wear-and-tear, like oxidized rings on the bathroom floor around where the metal trash can had been moved, the room door feeling a little stiff to shut, and a television system that felt a few generations old, but our experience was still overwhelmingly positive and we would stay at this hotel again. "

"I had a wonderful time at Norfolk Waterside Marriot. I arrived early and thought I would see if I could check in a little early since it was my birthday. This absolutely wonderful front office supervisor Caroline Mann checked me in. Not only did she check me in a little early, she got me an upgrade on the room, corner room with two views of the waterside, and into the M lounge for my birthday. What a wonderful birthday gift. I will be returning next year for my birthday. Anytime I stay in Norfolk I will be staying there. Thank you AGAIN Caroline, from one Leo to another."
