Let's be clear - this is not a hotel, nor is it boutique. It's a series of apartments in a building. There's no reception and there's no sign above the door to tell you you've arrived at the right place. It's just a door squeezed between 2 shop fronts (that were always shuttered when I arrived and left). In it's favour, it's good value for money for a 2 bed apartment in Manhattan. However, the local area doesn't feel safe, especially at night. The decor is pretty old and the bathroom water pressure is a joke. The $75 late check-in fee (between 5-7pm, really that's late in Manhattan??) seems like an excuse to take money of you and you can't check in after 7pm. So what happens if your flight is delayed and you arrive at 9pm - you can't check in until the morning and have to find another hotel? Given how unsafe the local area feels, I would not risk putting myself in that situation and would not stay again.

The room and building were as advertised and its location was perfect with all amenities within a short walk. Subway station basically out the front door in on the main N/S line on Manhattans east side. Would definitely recommend to others and wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again.

Loved my stay here! She was very quick to answer any questions I had, very comfty & homey feel to it. I just didn’t like that you didn’t have a place to leave your bags if you had a later flight! So keep that in mind!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The room was basic but had everything that we needed and was clean and well kept. Proximity to a subway station makes getting around the city extremely easy and local amenities and services are excellent.

I stayed with my husband for a week, I loved it, the apartment is very comfortable and above all quiet and silent, we rested very well, very good location, it is steps away from the metro station and buses, of course I would stay here again.

Cozy, clean, and close to everything

The place was super clean, cozy, and had a nice modern vibe. Can’t beat the location, literally steps from the subway, so getting around Manhattan was a breeze. Only weird thing was this funky smell that would hit us when we came back after being out all day. Kinda strange, but honestly, it didn’t mess with our stay at all.

Other guests are correct, this place was clean and a great option for the money. Clean firm beds, clean bathroom, I was really happy. We had two bedrooms, one with two windows facing the street. The shades aren’t black-out shades so bring an eye mask and ear buds if you want to try to sleep later. We just slept in the second bedroom which was nice and dark.

This is a small apartment in New York City. Very clean. Best part is that it is very near the 6 Subway station, which basically can take you to most of the common tourist spots.
