"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. "This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. "Another fun property for my family. We were delightfully surprised at the coziness of the space. Had all the essentials we needed. The area itself is not too far from Shinsaibashi station but with that being said, a 20 minute walk is worth the sight of all the shops and stands along the way!"
