Dated hotel and manned by aged staff
We stayed three nights at the hotel for a ski holiday. The first two nights wete booked through the ski resort and last nights was booked with hotel.com. Although mentioned initially, the reception staff was not aware on arrival. Lengthy explanation was spent. However after two nights, we were asked to check out in the morning. Explanation was given again. The hotel was dated. Open air onsen closed and we were told that not enough rain/ snow fall this year. The breakfast and dinner set were just so so. Overall, not recommended unless you have no better choice in ski season.
Very run down and dated hotel. Stains on the walls and thread bare carpet. Worst bed and pillows we’ve ever tried to sleep on. The indoor/outdoor Onsen was in generally good condition and nice to have access to after two days on the slopes.
Late check in and staffs were very unfriendly and super calculative by keep head counting how many kids staying together every time we bumped into the staff. It's very irritating and we checked in late that night, after long travelling and being questioned so many things. This hotel is very old fashioned and the onsen is far from the rooms. Onsen opening time is limited and the water isn't hot enough, it's just like luke warm water. Due to transiting to other cities, we had to wake up early and missed the onsen. It's over priced and very stingy on amenity, only 2 tiny packs of hair shampoo and body shampoos are provided in the room. Hotel room is not heated, however, there's a portable one provided but auto shut off every 5 minutes, thus it's useless. I felt very disappointed with this hotel and i won't return. Nothing impressive! We checked out at 5a.m. in the morning.
It was a nice stay, staffs are very friendly with great service. The hotel near the stream so you can hear the sound of water flow, enjoy fresh air with mountain view.
Kiyoshi Endo i believe is the mgr, and is great!!!
This was a great place to stay, clean and everyone working here was extremely helpful and pleasant to be around! A free bus picks you up at the hotel and shuttles you to the various mountains.

Práctico y sencillo. Facilidades para todo
Es justo lo que te esperas: un hotel que se nota que tiene sus años pero perfecto si quieres esquiar por la zona
Way over priced for the condition of the room and furnishings. Obviously this hotel has not been updated since the winter Olympics in Nagano. Very disappointing.
Good hotel but a tad run down. You could tell it was built for the Olympics and they haven't done much with it. Staff was amazing!!! Amenities were great, had rental ski/snowboard gear, hot springs/jacuzzi. Overall it was amazing for the price I would stay again when I go back.

Ski trip to Happo-one
The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the station with a free shuttle to both Happo-one and Goryu. The room was nice, but the hotel could use a little "up-keep" (paint, etc.)

Quirky hotel with great staff
Great hotel just 2 mins from the station. The building is really interesting; dated but clean. The rooms are very large for Japan and have a nice desk and chairs etc. It might have been built for the Olympics but never quite been full since. There are free shuttle buses that run to all the ski resorts which is handy. The staff are fantastic and the manager is really friendly, he was always around the lobby when I was there, saying hello and making sure things were okay. If you don't mind old decor, stay here!

Ski time is busy
The hotel is 200 meters from Hakuba rail station and 10 restaurants and coffee shops .. Regular free shuttle busses go to and from the ski fields ..
The hotel has a good onsen in two pools .. The hotel is in need of a refurb old but good .. .. Staff are friendly and go out of there way to assist .. Breakfasts are Japanese and tasty .. I would go back
