The Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo is a museum set in the former residence and workplace of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, two of Mexico’s most influential artists. Recognized for her prominent eyebrows and artistic talent, Frida Kahlo was immortalized in the 2002 movie Frida. Kahlo and Rivera lived in the residence from 1934 to 1940 alongside architect and friend Juan O’Gorman, who designed the houses. The Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo is in the southern part of the city, where it’s easily accessible by bus. Drive southwest for 9 miles (15 kilometers) to get to the museum from the city center.
