We first stayed in Tenuta Moriano in 2005. We returned this summer for a 2nd stay. We were confused when we arrived as the resort was not the same. It was listed on Expedia as Tenuta Moriano but was actually a sister resort next door by the name of San Lorenzo. These are 2 different resorts and the listing did not mention that we were booking into the other one. Amazing clean room friendly staff good breakfast

We loved our stay!!! We felt right at home! Definitely try the cooking class..finally got to learn how to make pasta and learned a few tricks about making an amazing tiramisu. The hotel is lovely, great location, wonderful hosts! Grazie mille!

Amazing in every way. The beauty of waking around is unlike any other. When we got there after a long day of traveling we had just missed the lunchtime to eat, and when went to shower the handle broke off- this is not a complaint. First they extended lunch without being asked and fixed the shower within minutes. From there on everything was amazing. We only stayed one night at this place but we really enjoyed it. Very cool vibes. Only downside is that getting to the room feels a bit complicated since it's in a different building than the lobby.

The place is very clean and quiet. It is in an exclusive neighborhood. Very safe to walk around. Their staff are very friendly and very service oriented. Breakfast was faboulous. The only thing is, it is a little further away from the city. Need a taxi to go anywhere but the taxi is also readily available and staff will call them for us. Wait time is very short usually less than 10 minutes.

Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Given the limitations of this environment the Cisterna is a great little hotel that met all of our needs .The Cisterna is located in Cisterna Square in town close to sights, dining and a valley view walkway. This place is amazing, and was a great deal in the off season. We paid €120 for a very nice room with a great big shower and a little private patio. The downside is being a long way from Florence’s attractions and restaurants. The closest place to eat was an 8 minute walk. If you have a car and want to be away from the madness of the tourist areas this is your place. VERY quiet.

Kiara was wonderful from start to finish. The staff are welcoming and so very cordial. She even upgraded my room. The property itself is gorgeous with lots of space. I appreciated the unique touches of this property. Breakfast was also very nice to have in their restaurant which has a very lovely skylight, perfect way to spend a slow morning on vacation. If you are planning to visit Florence, this is the hotel you should book! It won't let you down. Your Florence stay will be brilliant and memorable. I booked this hotel after read someone's comment. As I learned, the location is a bit far from the center of city. Even so, it is still worth to stay at this hotel. If you take a taxi, it costs 10 euro from/to hotel approxilately. For money savers, taking a bus #14 just for 2 euro may be suitable. The bus stop for #14 is only 2 blocks walk...

This is a beautiful hotel just outside Florence. It is about 15-20 minutes from the main city of Florence but it is worth the drive if you looking for a peaceful relaxing quiet hotel. The grounds are fabulous and the restaurant on site is superb. The hotel is decorated in rich colors and beautiful furniture and has great historical items. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good. We stayed one night due to an early flight. We were able to park the rental car on-site for free. We returned the car to the airport rental lot at 5:30 am.

Staff were very helpful and professional. Speaking English was not a problem. The breakfast buffet had a lot fresh food, fruit and pastries to choose from

Great clean room. Just what we needed for an overnight prior to flight home from Venice. Staff was great and helpful. Made taxi arrangement for morning and gave suggestion for restaurant for early dinner prior to 7pm openings for most restaurants.

I had a great experience here that far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, just a short walk from major tourist attractions. The morning breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety to start the day. One standout feature was the complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar—such a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced the experience.
