"We stayed for three nights at the end of August and had a wonderful time. The barn is a delight. Clean, well equipped and nicely laid out. The owners are pleasant, flexible and helpful. No negatives for us. Plenty to do nearby and we’d happily recommend and stay again ourselves."

"The potting shed is definitely a hidden gem, its little but had everything we needed, it was spotless with a lovely garden for our dog to explore. The twin baths outside were a really nice way to unwind after a day sightseeing and there’s plenty of dog friendly restaurants locally. I would recommend the lazy fox for great service and lovely food."

We enjoyed the smart TV, bath and wonderful shower, as well as the well equipped kitchen. There are plenty of fun day trips in the area and Penny was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. "Great little property, surprisingly comfortable for a small space, nice rural views from the lovely hot tub, and great beer from the onsite brewery!"

"If you want to get away from it all & enjoy the peace of the Sussex countryside the Cart Lodge is perfect. Great little cottage, which is well equipped & in a good location to explore East Sussex. The sheep in the field are great fun, demanding their biscuits as you sit & enjoy the sun. Thanks Nina for a great week"
