The problem is that first tow nights I stood in a room w/o AC. I asked for one and I was told there was none available. The third night I was moved to one with AC but I was charged $20 extra for it, I was under the impression that I was going to a room with AC as I requested it before getting there. W/o that problem the rate would have been excellent.

Chambres sentent l'humidité

Chambre humide, pas de fenêtre, la salle de bain est remplie de tâches d'humidité et l'odeur est assez forte. Au milieu des chambres dans le couloir il y a des banquettes où les clients peuvent se retrouver et discuter, juste à côtés des portes. Impossible de dormir tellement ça résonne quand quelqu'un se trouve là. Par contre le service est au top

Nice and comfortable with nice view from terrace

The hotel staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. the room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable, I just wish there is a windows in the room, but I could open the door and ventilate just fine. they breakfast is also nice and nice view from the terrace

As a follow up to my last stay and published review, I am happy to report that by calling the manager and advising her of the issues encountered, this latest two night stay was much improved> hot water working fine and room was dutifly cleaned during the day while I was out working. Staff attentive as before.

Property is clean. The desk attendants friendly. I stayed two consecutive nights> First morning only cold shower, hot water element not working. At end of day when I retuned at 6pm found the room had not been cleaned. The desk attendant cleaned the room. She also confirmed the hot water element was not working and said she would try trp get maintenance to come and fix. They did not, so next morning cold shower again.

Needs improvement

I really hate that I am not able to give a higher rating because the ladies and the gentleman working at the hotels are extremely kind and were willing to go out of their way to help me. The problem wasn't them. It was the hotel itself. The hotel is not built properly. My first night I was in a room that didn't have an air vent in the bathroom or the room so I felt like I was suffocating. The window blind/curtain was see-thru so I had to use a towel I brought with me to over the window. The next day I was moved to a better room that had a vent in the bathroom, but the room itself still lacked some type of ventilation so even having a fan on, I felt like I couldn't breathe when I closed the door to the room. Additionally, the bathroom smelled like sewage. I told the lady at the front and they brought a toilet bowel freshener, to over the scent. That night, I realized that the sewage smell was coming from the shower because the water wasn't going all the way down the drain and it was sitting in the shower. I showed the lady at the front and she said she would notify someone. When I returned, the bathroom still smelled like human waste.

Property was clean and staff was very helpful. The view from the property is fantastic overlooking the city of matagalpa. Good walking distance to everything although very hilly. Property is very nice but basic.
