"It was a beautiful place, relaxing, great for a group to cook, sit on a porch, next to the deep water of The Shenandoah River. Great beds, kitchen was easy for several people cooking at the same time"

"We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The current administration should invest funds in the National Parks, rather than divesting from them, and rather than spending untold, mismanaged, hundreds of millions on ballrooms and personal jets. This historied encampment deserves to be kept up in a more intentional way for our children and grandchildren. Can you imagine what Skyland would look like if just a handful of millions going toward a gilded jet were spent on the deep cleaning and deferred maintenance it requires? "

"The views were exceptional. You feel like you are in the wild right there with nature, which is what we wanted. We really enjoyed our time there in the morning, just gawking at nature. The property itself needs a lot of TLC. I think rustic was the description, it was more rustic than we expected. The furniture has been there for a very long time and its showing. On occasion we had visits from a wondering neighbor's dog without a collar, no internet, power outages, neighbors doing some work on the deck next door while we are trying to enjoy our stay. We eventually got most of the items resolved with the property manager, who tried their best to accommodate our needs. Which I do really apricate. "
