"the place was just okay — the Air Conditioner is very old & has that “old smell” to it. Could’ve been cleaner. There was an incident where the San Diego Police Department was called. About 15 cop cars were there & we were not notified regarding this. If you have kids please be aware. Also — $20 a night for parking.. wasn’t good, just okay."

"This place was horrible. the second I walked out I put a knife in my pocket in fear of my families safety. Came out of the elevator to a mountain of trash. Some sketch looking people living there. Yes this is a state run hotel and the people it has attracted are not all the best characters. Smelled like weed. Rooms were dirty, the stench of cigarettes and expired milk really set it apart. the people living next to our room, had the door wide open, room full of their belongings , over crowded and the smell coming out was aweful. The only positive was the front office staff memeber, she made getting a refund a breeze with no hassle."

"Bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Water pressure in the shower was horrible. AC unit would shut off on its own! Front desk basically pushed my problem to the next shift at the desk so they didn’t have to deal with it. The front desk gave no forthcoming information. Things that would have been nice to know about the property, parking or even the area. At checkout no one told me I still needed my key card to get out of the parking lot so I was stuck and had to go back inside, very inconvenient which could have been avoided if the front desk attendants were doing their job when I checked out ( IN PERSON) the whole situation was very inconvenient and added extra time to my travel which was a pain in it self!"

"LIKE: Near the commercial area, friendly and helpful staff DID NOT LIKE: hotel parking fee (although waived) and parking area is not covered, although room is clean but needs upgrading to look more modern and bright; hinge of the bathroom door is not properly aligned-needs some maneuvering to close the door"
