人を選ぶ場所かもしれない。 徒歩圏内にバー、レストラン、カフェ、そしてスーパーが多数ある。6階には共有のキッチンがあり、スーパーで買って来たものを軽く調理もできる。 便利な反面、車の交通が止まらない場所なので、24時間、騒音はある。 スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで、色々と直ぐに対応してくれる(可能な範囲で)。オーナーは日本人との事だが、日本語が通じるスタッフはいなかった。 下の方の階は、長期滞在者の住居なので、エレベーター使用時に出会うことが多く、フルサービスホテルを期待している人には驚くことかも知れないが、私達にとっては、ジムを含む設備やスタッフの対応に非常に満足。 アメリカのマンションの一室に滞在している気分だった。

随分昔、Studio819時代に宿泊しました。20年ぶりの宿泊でした。オーナーがおそらく変わったのでしょうか？チェックインが17時までということが、旅行者にとっては非常に不便です。鍵を無人で受けとるシステムも複雑です。初めて泊まる方の場合は、17時以降の到着であればこのホテルはお勧めしません。

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years because I come to San Diego often for work. To be honest it was rough at first. However, the rooms and property are getting updated and the processes for parking, etc are running so much more smoothly. Further, the team is very helpful with anything you need.

Room was clean and adequate. Check-in was quick and easy with on-site parking for a reasonable additional charge. There were notes about freeway/construction noise, but I didn't find them to be at all disturbing, more of a distant white noise that was drowned out by the sound of the AC if you have it on. This is a pretty basic location with a modest size room, but I'd say the price matches the amenities and is an excellent value. I will give an extra shout-out for location though. There is so much in terms of food and shopping within walking distance or a very short drive. Grabbed a late night dinner at the ramen place next building over. After staying at multiple locations in the area, this is so far the most convenient for access to Balboa Park, the Observatory (concert venue), and the San Diego Zoo. It seemed like about the same distance, but less than half the travel time given local traffic patterns.

Rooms are small, but the price and location are great. Room was updated. Kitchen has pots and pans but seems like you should source your own utensils. Freeway noise is there no matter where you are in building, so if you are sensitive to white noise, maybe stay somewhere else.

I was put in a room next to another room that happened to be being renovated and was woken up so early to workers rolling giant carts around and banging on the walls… in my room there were homeless people singing opera till 3am and no conditioner and no small towels…pillows were pretty old and matted.

Great location in Hillcrest for all the LGBT bars/clubs/restaurants. They are still renovating some sections. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating! The beds and pillows are SOO comfortable and clean!! Great stay for the price.

Admittedly, we only stayed in this room for one night. I think this is a hotel that is best suited for short term stays. The rooms are very small but very practical. The beds are comfortable but the bathrooms are tiny. If you're a bigger person like me, you will undoubtedly slam your elbow onto the corner of a towel bar. Unfortunately, the shared kitchen on our floor was out of coffee but there was an excellent coffee shop about two buildings down from the hotel called Better Buzz. Like I said, we stayed there for just one night and it served its purpose. It's central to everything and is incredibly close to the bars in Hillcrest like Flicks and Rich's. So yeah, a solid 3 out of 5. I do not think we will return here.

Paid for parking. Arrived and this is the fourth stay where they were not able to look up my payment and made me comb through emails to verify. Then they didn’t give me a assigned spot but told new to park, “near the gate” after walking the person at the counter to the spot to verify I was woken up after midnight to move my vehicle immediately. Then the next day the spot I was asked to park in next was taken… so I had to come in and figure that out. The apology was to ignore the fact that this is a multiple visit issue, but blamed it on the new girl at the counter (she was lovely and did her best for sure!) then offered to refund only one of the nights parking even though this was a multiple night issue. I’ve stayed here at least 4 times because the location is perfect but this is the last time I’m putting up with the terrible service and systems. Stay further out and uber in… WORTH IT.

The location is very convenient and close to everything, which made getting around easy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. That said, the room was quite small for the price, and the parking was expensive. Overall, it’s a decent option if location matters most, but the value may not be ideal for longer stays or travelers with a lot of luggage.
