"Great hotel - lovely wood rooms. Loved being in Mürren, beautiful town, great views, loved the sound of cowbells in the morning. Breakfast was nice. My only gripe was the bed - it was CREAKY. It groaned like it was being tortured if you moved the slightest bit. Woke up several times at night because of the noise. Didn't help that the hotel was upgrading their lobby, so the only people we could talk to about a different room were in another hotel, a few mins walk away."

"Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful views from the room, very centrally located and close to the train, and looked forward to the breakfast every morning. Also highly recommend the pizza in the restaurant -- we ate here twice. And special thank you to Ellen at the front desk who was greatly helpful with some recommendations during our stay!"

"Wonderful property. Fantastic location. Beautiful views. Well maintained. Amazing and helpful staff. Clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast. However, there was no AC so it was warm but town was quiet and leaving windows open was adequate."

"The only negative thing about this stay was having to LEAVE!!! This is an amazing property sitting high on the hill with the MOST AMAZING VIEWS!!! I read some reviews about this property stating that it was a struggle to walk up the hill leading to the hotel but it is not that bad. You ARE in Switzerland so there are hills everywhere. The porter service transporting our luggage up the hill on check in day was a nice touch. The very nice gentleman met us at the station and toted our bags up the hill. The hotel is so conveniently located - literally 3 minute walk from the train station in Wengen and so convenient to the cute little village. The view from our balcony was stellar!!! I really enjoyed sitting out there both in the morning and the evening and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Lauterbrunnen valley. I would return to this property again and again (and actually plan to in the future!) The breakfast is excellent and in a beautiful setting. There is a cute lawn area where you sit by the fountain and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The front desk gentleman at check in was so very helpful in giving us info on the surrounding area and helped us determine what to do since we had a really rainy day and he suggested some options. The bonus was the dog (I think a cocker spaniel) who was so cute and greeted guests at the front desk. Stop looking for a place to stay in Wengen - you will not be disappointed in this property!!!!"

"This hotel is the perfect landing spot to explore this beautiful region. Easy access to hiking trails, transportation to other villages and to the iconic mountains. Make sure to spend some at the hotel’s restaurant the Deck, where the friendly staff and delicious food will make you feel like you are in a Hallmark movie. The hotel is not fancy yet it is perfect. Every guest is taken care of with the attention of a 5 star experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"Views from our 4th floor room with balcony facing the mountains were breathtaking & the red geranium in the decks flower box added wonderful color. The pool and hot tub were exceptional and breakfast had many selections & a nice seating area. The automated check-in and checkout process made everything easy. Wengen was a central, gorgeous place to stay. I'd highly recommend this property!"

"my wife and her 2 sisters and i had 3 very enjoyable days at this hotel. the staff was very friendly and helpful. bus 123 is a direct route into Grindelwald. great breakfast include. reasonably priced wines and dinners. highly recommend"
