Great Stay at Kamaole Sands!

Me and my family had a great time staying at at this place. We had a great view of the water and had a great kitchen and seating area to have dinner time. Also me and my family really appreciated the beach chairs provided at the place. The owner Susan was also very responsive to any of my questions in a quick manner. I would defintley want to book again.

Fantastic place to stay!!

First of all this condo has to be the best one we’ve stayed at over the years coming to Maui with our young family. This place is absolutely beautiful with a great location and even better owner! Lovely Kitchen

This condo unit has a large, remodeled modern kitchen with everything you need. The island is huge! The view from the lanai of ocean one way and mountains the other is amazing. The property manager is easy to contact and is attentive to concerns or needs.

Great Family Getaway

Our family from Oahu was able to book a last minute stay for Spring Break and Susan’s unit at Kamaole Sands was perfect! We had all the comforts of home while being able to play tourist in beautiful Maui. We spent days at Big Beach, walked to many local eateries, drove to upcountry Makawao and Kula and just relaxed at the pool. Susan was super responsive and can’t wait to book with her again soon. MAHALO for a wonderful stay!

Best location, met all expectations!

This is a fantastic property with great facilities! We especially enjoyed the free hula and tennis lessons on offer. Location is perfect, Kam III across the road was ideal for watching sunset, snorkeling with turtles on the south end and boogie boarding. The apartment is just as described and pictured, with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom and beach gear. Susan is a helpful host!

Great property=Great holiday

This is absolutely a great property in an excellent location. The condo is very roomy and open with very nice updates all around. The property itself is very nice with excellent amenities which we fully enjoyed. Location is great, across the street from a nice uncrowded beach, along a business street full of local shops & eateries. The owner, Susan, is great very professional and excellent at communicating upfront expectations and helpful insight. This made our family's Christmas holiday a joy.

Thanksgiving in Maui

My husband and I had a relaxing time in Maui with our two girls over the weekend. The place was pretty clean, quiet and big enough where we didn’t feel cramp. We spent most of our time out exploring the island and location wasn’t to far of a distance from Wailea area. Susan is also very responsive to my questions and the whole check-in process was quick. We will be doing another staycation to Maui in the near future as Oahu is only a short flight away.

Perfect South Shore Location

This is a great property. Nice grounds, large pool area and greenbelt, seems like every unit has a view. This particular one was great, top floor with ocean view, awesome brand new remodeled kitchen with large island for the whole family to sit around and hang out. Property is right acros the screet from Kam III which is an ideal snorkel or beach-combing spot. Highly recommend, would definitely rent this unit again. Interaction with the owners was easy and great, thanks to all!

Susan the property owner is awesome to work with. Very clear communication and gets back to you in a timely manner. The unit is very clean and the air conditioning works perfectly. Plenty of beach towels, chairs and umbrella to take to the beach. This is the second time we stayed in until 1-404 and will stay there again

Fantastic host, fantastic place

We were stranded in Maui due to the Maui fires. Susan saved the day by not only renting this place to us with same day check in (not supported on vrbo) but also lowering the rate drastically to help make it affordable. The unit is beautiful, clean with great ocean views. The grounds are also really well maintained with gym, pool, baby pool and 2 hot tubs (kid friendly and adult only). Short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay despite the Maui fire craziness. Was the perfect sanctuary

Wedding vacation

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding. It was perfect. We had plenty of room to get ready for wedding on wedding day. Condo is equipped with everything you need for vacation. Plenty of beach supplies from umbrellas, chairs, towels, wagon, and other beach items were provided in condo. Kitchen is very well stocked. Views from balcony are beautiful. Susan Shore was an amazing host. We will definitely consider staying here if we are able to return to Maui.

Heavenly slice of Kihei

Everything you needed was right there. The lanai was like sitting in the balcony of a performance put on by Mother Nature. Accessibility to everything was great. Susan was attentive and reactive to our needs. Just the best. The beach was full of turtles. I think Susan staged the whole thing. Thank you so much. Location location location. Starting with the parking stall is 15 from the elevator and then your front door is 20 ft from the elevator. Beautiful ocean view,kitchen is brand new and very well stocked. Beds are comfortable and plenty of towels and toiletries. 3 minutes walk to the ocean and about the same to the pool and hot tub. Only drawback was the sliding door is hard to open and the outside handle on the door needs to be fixed.(cracked). I will definitely look at staying in this unit again Thank you Susan

Peaceful, convenient and calming

We loved our stay here: the beautiful view off the balcony especially at sunset, the convenience of having everything we needed to cook (as eating out gets pricey in Hawaii), plus having the beach just a few steps away. Grateful for how thoughtful host has been about making everything seamless and easy, down to the paper plates and ziplock bags available. We loved all the beach gear!!! Saved us so much money- costs like 99 to rent just snorkel gear. I looked at a lot of different condos in this same Kamaole Sands complex, but I’m glad we picked this one. Being the first building makes for easy trips to beach, parking, pool, etc. Only thing that could have made the stay nicer would be having shampoo and conditioner available.

Great location

Great location. Great view from the balcony. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to use any of the items like the chairs and such but it seemed to have everything we would need. Place was clean but the comforter in the downstairs rooms smelled musty. The loft room and bathroom is bigger than the downstairs room but we let our daughter stay in the loft because we didn’t want to lug our luggage up those little stairs for one night. The balconies are really close together. The pool looked decent but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Great that there is a garbage shoot on the second floor. There are tennis courts as well, and a gentleman was doing lessons. He saw my 9 year old watching and asked if she wanted to try so she got to go try it out for $10 for 30 mins and got a little gift after. She was really happy to do that. Overall, I think the price for one night was wayyyy too much. The place smelled a bit musty. But… the location is hard to beat. The beach is across the street and you can walk to most of the shops/restaurants. There was some miscommunication because I couldn’t send or see messages on the VRBO app from the other side of the island, but otherwise I had no problems with the owner.

Great trip!

It was our first trip to Kihea. We questioned the timing of our trip due to the devastating fire in west Kihea/Lahaina. The host and the staff at Kamaole Sands were welcoming and helpful upon check in and throughout our stay. Milli (aka Milli Va Nilli )was a joy and very reassuring. Our stay was perfect! Kamaole sands is much much more than the description and deserves a raving review…The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Many photo ops on the property . Very nice pool and tennis courts. The unit is clean and modern. The stair case is cool but be careful not to hit your head! beds are comfortable. The air conditioning works and kept a nice temp in the evenings. there is a nice cross breeze which enables fresh air and the sound of the ocean. (Across the street!). We felt very safe in the condo yet would have liked to been able to lock the front screen door. The view from the deck is great! we enjoyed breakfast every morning to the sound of the ocean and birds! And enjoyed beautiful sunsets with our dinner and late night snacks(Spam misubi, hurricane fries, fresh fruit and salad) from the ABC store and Kamala shopping just a few blocks away. Our visit to Kihea was truly a gift of time with family, eating, sharing,relaxing, reflecting, supporting, encouraging healing and peace. Cannot thank the host enough and Kamaole Sands for such a wonderful stay. Hawaii Strong is real..must find a way to get back! Mahalo!
