The hotel is also in the centre of Saariselkä which is compact and pedestrian friendly so this makes it easy if you’re using buses to get in and out of town and don’t have a vehicle. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant are good. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Be aware that activities book out and so if you want to do more than hiking you’ll need to plan and book ahead."

"We stayed three nights in the aurora igloo and it was the highlight of our Lapland trip, falling asleep under a glass roof and watching the northern lights dance above us was pure magic. Warm, cozy and comfortable, in a peaceful spot far from city lights. And the food was fantastic! Friendly staff, everything well organized. Highly recommended ,we'd love to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Gáldu Hotel and Spa is an idyllic spot for a truly relaxing getaway. The food was incredible, and although the location is slightly remote, it hardly matters when the hotel’s facilities are of such a high standard. Breakfast was next level — a beautifully presented buffet with plenty of choice, alongside freshly prepared hot options. The spa was also a fantastic experience, clearly well maintained and thoughtfully managed. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive, and it’s clear the owners have put a great deal of care and thought into every detail of the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
