"We had a great time. The property has two residences. The chefs/cleaners are in a house at the back. They were really great. Especially great cooks! We provided the groceries and they cooked in the outside kitchen to perfection and cleaned after each meal. For us, it was all authentic Colombian food, which is what we wanted.The location is great. "We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Sofitel Barú Calablanca. Traveling with my wife and our young daughter, we were looking for a seamless mix of high-end luxury and family-friendly comfort, and this property delivered on every single front. The facilities are pristine, the views are breathtaking, and the level of service is truly world-class. The staff went out of their way to ensure our family was completely taken care of, making the entire experience effortless and relaxing. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an elevated and memorable coastal getaway."

"The room and public aeras were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dining in the hotel were good. The drive to the hotel gave us some thoughts but as soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. All by all I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was also close to the walled part of Cartagena."

"Lovely hotel right on the beach. Two beaches, one for guests only and one for guests and day visitors. Beaches are nice - pretty but small and there is a lot of broken coral in the shallows so take some water shoes. Do not be put off by big blue building - this is not part of main hotel where buildings are more rustic and attractive (I think this is just storage /service area), you don’t really see it while staying. Staff were all great, very friendly and always helpful and the food was all good. Prices are not cheap but I think that’s across all island hotels. I had great boat tour of islands including snorkelling, which was better than I expected - saw a lot of fish species and a turtle. Quieter than other hotels on the island but that suited me and lovely to be on a real beach. I would book here again if visiting the islands"
