"WE arrived a little early, not an issue, the checked us in and we even got a nice upgraded room. Staff was fantastic. the location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do in the city for the weekend. they ended the stay with hold our bags for the entire rest of the day while we took advantage of a late flight home. Would highly recommend staying there to any of our friend or family going to visit Boston."

"The front desk couldn’t even help direct us on where we could catch an Uber during race day. Other than that, I also found them to be quite cold and unwelcoming. The kindest person we encountered was by far the lady cleaning our room. She was lovely. "

"Great older hotel but with so much character. Main areas were impeccable. Elevator could use some TLC inside. Room was great. Fantastic location. If you want a place with an excellent staff and a great location and lots of character this is a place for you."

"The hotel is very pretty and charming and in an amazing location along the waterfront. I was really looking forward to staying here. However, to my disappointment, I didn't have a great experience. There seems to be little soundproofing between floors. There was a lot of commotion above me to the point that I thought they were remodeling. But, what made my experience just bad was that sometime between 3-3:30am I was awoken out of a sound sleep to large banging that literally shook the walls of my room to the point that I called the front desk. However my room phone didn't work and had to use my cell phone. The night desk attendant was very kind and I appreciated that he looked into it. It's a mystery what it was. Early in the morning, I could hear running foot steps above me. Just strange for a large hotel to have this issue. While the late night front desk attendant was excellent, the reason I gave the 3 star for staff was the check-in attendant that I had wasn't friendly or welcoming. He just waved me over. If I didn't initiate the greeting, I'm not sure he would have said hello to me. He didn't tell me anything about the hotel, amenities, restaurant, etc. The other attendant that was helping a couple check-in was telling them all kinds of things and seemed super friendly. It's a beautiful hotel and I don't really understand why the hotel has the issues that I experienced. When I checked out, the attendant was friendly, however she didn't ask how my stay was, so here it is."
