Luxurious, historical, spacious rooms and amazing staff!

The Rivulet was a WONDERFUL surprise. The hotel and room mixed old world charm with modern technology. We were greeted with complimentary port wine and fine chocolates. Then each morning breakfast was an amazing assortment of food and drink, served by helpful staff. If and when we return to Tasmania, we will stay there again!

Our visit was during Christmas and it was our honeymoon. I don’t think any other place would have been as perfect. We stayed in the gardeners cottage in the middle of an incredible garden. The two story little house is adorable and functional. We agreed it has the best shower in the world and that’s not even in the top 10 lovely things about the place. Nice house, vintage outside and modern inside. We can find almost everything needed in the house, including kitchen suppliers, heater in bathroom, ipod player…just like at home. If the wifi signal is better, it will be a perfect one.

My partner and I made an emergency reservation fairly late on the same day we were meant to arrive in town. We encountered some extenuating circumstances during our vacation, which meant we needed a safe place to sleep for a couple of nights. Despite this short notice, our stay was fantastic! We did a contactless check-in after hours, arriving sometime after 7pm. This was a godsend after the long, and frankly terrible, day we’d had. The Henry Jones hotel is a lovely place to spend your days in Hobart. The rooms are large and have a nice view of the harbor. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again if in Hobart.

We stayed two nights, separated by a two day, one night GBR snorkel trip. Jeannette very graciously allowed us to keep everything in our room for the extra night without having to pack and unpack again. VERY much appreciated. Room (#9) was huge with separate sitting area. Breakfast was modest, and it's a $20 taxi ride to town. Otherwise, a charming, comfortable place to stay.

Great location and brand new hotel. Parking a car is not on-site which is a bit of a bummer but nice walkability and easy Hwy access. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The unit was well designed, tastefully furnished and quite comfortable, with a two story design that allowed for a spacious open area and functional kitchen, with the second level containing the two sufficiently large bedrooms and a bathroom. On site laundry was a definite plus and the complimentary laundry detergent was much appreciated.
