「A comfortable stay in a clean, basic room. I was dropping my kid off at Durham, and needed an affordable, nearby place. This came up on an Expedia search. About 30min away from her college, and we took the opportunity to drive 5 min down to Horden Beach for a walk, which is lovely. We checked in at the bar, which was busy. 「Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. Great views」

「Clean room, helpful staff. Good breakfast options」

「The room was cold as the heating didn't work well. There was also no hot water in the shower. Despite requesting improvement, nothing was done. The room was clean and well-maintained, the housekeeping service was very good, and the breakfast was tasty.」

「Friendly staff with a great location and lively pub」

「Fantastic stay. Great location. Staff wonderful. Great breakfast Highly recommend」

「Good size bedroom, excellent breakfast, great staff」

When I arrived and explained calmly that I was not a happy customer I was given excuses. Apparently they are unable to contact me because I booked through expedia. This is strange as they had contacted me through expedia to tell me that my room was non refundable. If you are going to Sunderland pick...

「Beautiful grounds with lovely views of the wildlife in and around the lake. Very peaceful.」

「Better than expected. Don’t write off these hotels. Way nicer than many upmarket properties out there.」
