Staff was doing the best they could considering there was a long line of not-so-happy people who had flights cancelled due to weather in mid-west.

We enjoyed the pool and location with easy access to the beach. Sammy gets a 5 star rating. Rooms could use a little updating.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. It's super close to the beach and reasonably priced. They have beach towels for you if they need them. The room is very nice with a great ocean view . Getting out of the hotel and back in is kind of weird . The elevators are very slow . We had to take the back stairs to the parking garage to get to the outside and we didn’t really know where we were going .

There was a fair amount of seaweed on the beach and I found the sand was hard to walk in because the sand was loosely packed. Not a beach suitable for a power walk or a run. The Pier is and surrounding commercial area is not open yet.
